Sonja Overhiser, Co-Founder

Sonja is founder of the award winning food blog A Couple Cooks and author of the book Pretty Simple Cooking, named a best egetarian cookbook by Epicurious and Food & Wine. Along with her husband Alex, she has a worldwide following for her vegetarian and plant based recipes. She's also author of a recipe series with Washington Post Food, Voraciously: Plant Powered.

Featured everywhere from the TODAY Show to Bon Appetit, Sonja is a national advocate for healthy and sustainable eating to improve our health, communities, and planet.

Ashley Brooks, Co-Founder

Ashley loves to foster the food community that surrounds her. She co-launched the nationally acclaimed restaurant, Milktooth in 2014. Since then, she sought to cultivate a vibrant and supportive culinary community in Indianapolis by co-founding food justice projects such as the Garfield Park Farmers Market, Indy Women in Food and Baby Got Brunch.

Her mission-driven enterprise A.Rose is a culinary consultancy helping restaurants achieve sustainability, producing thoughtfully curated culinary experiences for private and corporate clients, and advocating for food justice in the most marginalized communities.

Tanorria Askew, Community Engagement Lead

Tanorria is a passionate home cook turned chef. She is the proud owner of Tanorria’s Table, where she works as a personal chef and TV personality. A 2016 contestant on MasterChef hosted by Gordon Ramsay, Tanorria walked away as the 4th best home cook in America.

Tanorria was the champion and practitioner for Teachers Credit Union’s Diversity and Inclusion Initiative, leading the charge in winning the Indianapolis Mayor’s Celebration of Diversity Award. Now, she speaks to audiences as a keynote speaker, emcee, and panelist about her significant career shift, diversity and inclusion, and social justice.

Candace Boyd Wylie, Community Engagement Lead

Candace is an award winning blogger, food creative and media personality out to share her love of food, cooking and leaving no dish unseasoned with the world.

She launched her creative space, The Foodlovetog in 2013. From food education, to recipes, foodie events, and a handcrafted small batch spice line, FoodLoveTog has been her vehicle for all things tasty. She is active in the community supporting organizations that focus on food insecurity and helping families cook at home.

Candace earned degrees in Organizational Management and Non Profit Leadership from Huntington University where she is an active board member. She is mom to one vivacious 5-year-old.
